Mark Kirkbride

Mark joined itmsoil in June 2010 after an impressive career in the construction contracting industry, working in the mining, civil engineering, tunnelling and specialist engineering fields.

Mark brings a wealth of contractual, operational and business knowledge along with first class communication and people skills, to ensure itmsoil continues to grow safely and securely whilst driving the business to achieve its maximum potential.

Before joining itmsoil, Mark was Bid Director for a major joint venture, responsible for bidding on more than £2bn of Crossrail construction contracts. He was tasked with selecting the partners and building winning teams capable of undertaking the largest possible construction contracts in London, and the largest construction project in Europe.

After graduating as a mining engineer Mark joined Trafalgar House and worked through their graduate engineer scheme, spending time in R&D and many different divisions of the company. He later travelled extensively, working on mining projects around the world, progressing into project management for various large projects.

Mark subsequently moved into general management roles, starting up and running new business sectors in Skanska, undertaking due diligence for acquisitions and managing teams of people to deliver and outperform.

Mark is a committee member of the influential British Tunnelling Society and is a Chartered Engineer.
